Your inner musician
We teach high quality lessons with the very best hand picked young dynamic tutors, all of whom have a classical training, and are just as at home playing with an orchestra or with a band at a festival. We don’t teach people to just read music or pass grades, we unleash your inner musician! We love music and we love sharing it with people, be it classical, rock, jazz, pop, show tunes or Balkan gypsy folk.
About 80% of our pupils have chosen to take grades and we encourage those for whom the grade system suits. However, we are happy to tailor the lessons to suit your needs as we know that exams don’t suit everybody. Those that do take grades have a 100% pass rate with a very high merit and distinction rate. In the academic year 2015/16 the Academy achieved 90% merit and distinctions in music exams (an overall historic average of 87%). Several students have music scholarships to top London schools like Dulwich College and Colfes. One of our students is in The National Youth Choir of Great Britain and another of our students got through to the last round of auditions for Matilda in the West End. We encourage auditions for those who meet the audition standard and support them through the process.
As music and technology ever changes, we want our students to remain up to date with current technology and ideas; as well as teaching them about electronic and studio music we love encouraging them to use music apps and different musical devices.
Lessons in Greenwich & Blackheath are £28 + VAT per half hour lesson and run a set calendar of 34 weeks of the year. Extra lessons are available on request. As the relationship between a student and tutor is so important we would be happy to offer a free consultation lesson to ensure the student is happy with their tutor. Please contact Becky to arrange this.

“It is with great pleasure that I can recommend Becky and her team. Her enlightened approach to teaching piano to my daughters ages ranging from 3 to 13 is inspiring. Her energy and love of music engages her pupils which is wonderfully illustrated by her musical evenings she organises to give them a platform to share and shine.” – Kimberley, parent
